Scholarship
Over the years Foo Kon Tan Grant Thornton LLP continues to contribute towards the development of young adults in the accountancy profession and help groom future leaders of tomorrow. Benefactors of the Foo Kon Tan Grant Thornton LLP Scholarship are deserving students from several education institutions.
The Firm is also one of the sponsors to the CPA Australia Singapore Scholarships that give high achieving accounting students in accredited programmes in the 3 local universities namely Nanyang Technological University (NTU), National University of Singapore (NUS) and Singapore Management University (SMU) a head start on gaining an international designation.
Tang Hui Qi is Foo Kon Tan Grant Thornton LLP's 2011 scholarship holder pursuing her Diploma in Accountancy at Temasek Polytechnic. She is grateful for the opportunity presented to her and is looking forward to her graduation in 2012.
Meantime away from her usual academic routine of tutorials and course assignments; she is soaking up the real world working experience as an audit intern at the firm's assurance department.

Hui Qi will complete her internship in Q1 2012. As a parting shot she said, "There are many things that require professional judgment and this comes with experience."
